Below are the 11 physician specialties that saw increases in the average starting salary offered to providers in 2023-24 compared with that of the previous 12-month period, along with the percent increase year over year.

- Orthopedic surgery: $686,000 (8.4%)
- Neurology: $383,000 (8.2%)
- Family medicine: $271,000 (6.7%)
- Internal medicine: $271,000 (6.7%)
- Obstetrics/gynecology: $367,000 (6%)
- Anesthesiology: $460,000 (6%)
- Gastroenterology: $531,000 (4.9%)
- Radiology: $495,000 (4.9%)
- Pediatrics: $244,000 (4.7%)
- Hematology/oncology: $444,000 (0.9%)
