VyncaCare appoints Dr. Angela Poppe Ries chief medical officer

Angela Poppe Ries, MD, has been named chief medical officer of VyncaCare, a home healthcare company for patients living with serious illness.

Dr. Poppe Ries steps into the role after serving as the company’s medical director, according to a Feb. 16 release. As chief medical officer, she will oversee VyncaCare’s supportive care model and strategy for patient care.

Prior to joining VyncaCare, Dr. Poppe Ries served as a review medical director at Humana. She also spent two years as medical director of Pikes Peak Hospice and Palliative Care in Colorado Springs, Colo., according to LinkedIn.
