UF Health St. Johns names chief medical officer, interim CEO

UF Health St. Johns in St. Augustine, Fla., appointed Huson Gilberstadt, MD, as chief medical officer and Kerry Watson as interim CEO.

In his new role as chief medical officer, Dr. Gilberstadt will oversee patient care  clinical effectiveness at UF St. Johns, according to a June 3 news release from the health system. As interim CEO, Mr. Watson will lead UF Health St. Johns’ integration into the main Gainesvillle, Fla.-based UF Health system.

Dr. Gilberstadt has previously served as a director and substance use treatment physician at Gateway Community Center and chief clinical officer at Ascension St. Vincent’s Medical Center Riverside, both in Jacksonville, Fla., according to his LinkedIn page. Mr. Watson previously served as interim CEO for Maui (Hawaii) Health System.
