Trinity Health names regional chief medical officer

St. Mary’s Health Care System, an Athens, Ga.-based member of Trinity Health, has appointed Eric Schuck, MD, its chief medical officer.

Dr. Schuck, a pediatric emergency medicine specialist, most recently served as chief medical officer of HCA Florida Fort Walton-Destin Hospital and HCA Florida Twin Cities Hospital in Niceville, according to a Nov. 22 news release from St. Mary’s. He has more than 25 years of healthcare leadership experience.

St. Mary’s has three hospitals across Northeast Georgia.

Trinity Health is based in Livonia, Mich.
