Penn State Health appoints Dr. Kenneth Wood chief medical officer

Kenneth Wood, DO, has been appointed executive vice president and chief medical officer of Hershey, Pa.-based Penn State Health.

Dr. Wood most recently spent three years as chief clinical officer at Providence, R.I. -based Lifespan, according to an April 12 news release from Penn State Health. He previously served as chief medical officer for the University of Maryland Medical System and chief clinical officer for the system’s medical center in Baltimore.

Dr. Wood also has experience as chief medical officer of Geisinger Medical Center in Danville, Pa., and has held a variety of leadership positions with the University of Wisconsin-Madison medical system.
