Nationwide Children’s names chief medical officer

Columbus, Ohio-based Nationwide Children’s Hospital tapped Catherine Krawczeski, MD, as its next chief medical officer.

Dr. Krawczeski has served as the hospital’s physician-in-chief since 2022,  and also serves as chief of its pediatrics department, according to a July 9 news release from Nationwide Children’s. She will continue to serve in both roles while serving as chief medical officer. 

In her new role, Dr. Krawczeski will work to develop physician leaders, ensure overall quality of medical services and provide both clinical and academic perspectives to support the hospital, according to the release. 

“Dr. Krawczeski is a preeminent clinician who has become one of our hospital’s most important leaders, and we’re fortunate to have her take on this expanded position,” Tim Robinson, CEO of Nationwide Children’s, said in the release.
