Memorial Healthcare names chief medical officer, associate chief medical officer

Aharon Sareli, MD, has been named chief medical officer of Hollywood, Fla.-based Memorial Healthcare System, and Holly Neville, MD, was appointed associate chief medical officer.

Dr. Sareli has been with Memorial Healthcare since starting as an intensivist in 2009, according to a March 23 news release from the health system. He was then appointed director of critical care at Pembroke Pines, Fla.-based Memorial Hospital West in 2010 and system chief of critical care in 2012.

Dr. Sareli went on to become chief physician executive of the Memorial Physician Group in 2019, during which he grew the group to include more than 350 physicians and 220 advanced practice providers.

Dr. Neville currently serves as chief of pediatric general surgery at Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood, Fla. She also serves as program director of Memorial Healthcare System's surgical residency within its graduate medical education program.

Dr. Neville is the co-founder and lead coach of the American Pediatric Surgery Association's coaching program and serves on the American Pediatric Surgical Association education and wellness committee.
