The position opened a year ago when the hospital’s former chief medical officer, Adam Jarrett, MD, left following a probe involving racial concerns at the hospital.

Dr. Kondamudi will oversee the hospital’s clinical operations, clinical research, development of clinical information systems and physician engagement.

Previously, Dr. Kondamudi served as executive vice president, network physician executive and chief medical officer at the Brooklyn Hospital Center in New York City. She spent 25 years at the facility.
