Hackensack Meridian hospital appoints chief medical officer

Elham Yousef, MD, has been named chief medical officer of Hackensack Meridian Health’s Bayshore Medical Center in Holmdel, N.J.

Dr. Yousef most recently served as vice president of medical affairs and associate chief medical officer, according to a Feb. 5 news release from Hackensack. She was also an associate professor of medicine at the University of South Florida in Tampa.

In her new role, Dr. Yousef is part of Bayshore’s senior leadership team and oversees the hospital’s physicians, according to the release.
