Philip Heavner, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of Guthrie Cortland Medical Center in Cortland, N.Y., WIVT reported Aug. 2.
Dr. Heavner first joined the medical center in 2020 as system chief of pediatrics and will begin his new role Sept. 5. He also serves as the medical director for child advocacy centers in Chemung and Schuyler counties and Bradford County, Pa., the report said.
