Dr. Akach joins St. Joseph’s with over 15 years of physician leadership experience, according to a May 16 news release. He recently held leadership roles at HCA Florida JFK Hospital and HCA Florida JFK North Hospital in Palm Beach County.
Dr. Akach previously served as lead for the hospital medicine division for Danville, Pa.-based Geisinger. He is also a fellow of the American College of Physicians, American College of Healthcare Executives and American Academy for Physician Leadership.
