Dr. Pitcher has served as interim chief medical officer since October, according to a Dec. 18 news release from Essentia. She has been with the health system since 2015 and has served as chief quality and patient safety officer for more than three years.
Under Dr. Pitcher’s leadership, Essentia’s safety and quality ratings have improved and three of the health system’s hospitals earned five-star rankings from CMS.
