DHR Health Brownsville names chief medical officer

James Castillo, MD, has been appointed chief medical officer of DHR Health Brownsville in Texas, according to a May 28 report from NBC affiliate KVEO.

Dr. Castillo most recently served as lead of hospice and palliative medicine for DHR Health, according to LinkedIn. Prior to joining DHR Health, he served as medical director of the palliative care program for Valley Baptist Health System, also in Brownsville.
