BayCare Medical Group taps vice president, chief medical officer

Clearwater, Fla.-based BayCare Medical Group has tapped Timothy Liesching, MD, as its new vice president and chief medical officer.

Dr. Liesching comes to BayCare from Burlington, Mass.-based Lahey Hospital and Medical Center, an academic tertiary care hospital and level 1 trauma center, according to an Oct. 22 news release. He brings more than 20 years as an expert in pulmonary and critical care medicine to his new role. 

“We are happy to welcome Dr. Liesching aboard with his vast leadership expertise and background in managing a highly integrated physician group,” said BayCare chief physician executive Sowmya Viswanathan, MD.
