Here are five newly appointed chief medical officers Becker's has covered since Feb. 16:
- Michele Sinopoli, MD, was appointed chief medical officer for Tenet Healthcare's Massachusetts market. Dr. Sinopoli will oversee Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester and MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
- Mauro Avanzi, MD, PhD, was appointed chief medical officer of Shoreline Biosciences, a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing cellular immunotherapies based on induced pluripotent stem cells.
- Leena Gandhi, MD, PhD, was named chief medical officer of NextPoint Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on immuno-oncology through its work on the HHLA2 pathway.
- Angela Poppe Ries, MD, was named chief medical officer of VyncaCare, a home healthcare company for patients living with serious illness.
- Christopher Jankosky, MD, was appointed chief medical officer of Neurolixis, a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the treatment of psychiatric and neurologic disorders.
