5 new chief medical officers in 1 week

Here are five newly appointed chief medical officers Becker's has covered since Feb. 16:

  1. Michele Sinopoli, MD, was appointed chief medical officer for Tenet Healthcare's Massachusetts market. Dr. Sinopoli will oversee Saint Vincent Hospital in Worcester and MetroWest Medical Center in Framingham.
  2. Mauro Avanzi, MD, PhD, was appointed chief medical officer of Shoreline Biosciences, a biopharmaceutical company focused on developing cellular immunotherapies based on induced pluripotent stem cells. 
  3. Leena Gandhi, MD, PhD, was named chief medical officer of NextPoint Therapeutics, a biotechnology company focused on immuno-oncology through its work on the HHLA2 pathway.
  4. Angela Poppe Ries, MD, was named chief medical officer of VyncaCare, a home healthcare company for patients living with serious illness.
  5. Christopher Jankosky, MD, was appointed chief medical officer of Neurolixis, a biopharmaceutical company dedicated to the treatment of psychiatric and neurologic disorders.
