Washington Permanente Medical Group taps CEO

Washington Permanente Medical Group named Taejoon Ahn, MD, as CEO and executive medical director, effective Sept. 30.

Dr. Ahn now leads the physician-owned medical group, which has over 1,200 clinicians caring for more than 550,000 Kaiser Permanente members, according to a Sept. 30 news release.

He succeeds Dorian Reid, MD, who had served in an interim capacity since September 2025.

Dr. Ahn most recently served for 12 years as president of John Muir Medical Group. WPMG provides care for Kaiser Permanente members in Washington state and works exclusively with Kaiser Permanente.
