Aultman Health System and Northeast Ohio Medical University (NEOMED) formalized a partnership Aug. 11 to expand clinical training and strengthen Ohio’s physician pipeline.
The agreement, signed in Canton, Ohio, establishes a strategic framework for medical education and clinical training between the two organizations. It expands clinical learning opportunities for NEOMED medical students at Aultman, giving them broader exposure to hands-on patient care.
Robert Mullen, president and CEO of Aultman Health System, said the affiliation “reflects our shared commitment to advancing healthcare throughout the region. John Langell, MD, NEOMED’s president, called the agreement “a meaningful investment in the future of healthcare in Ohio.”
Aultman operates a 1,032-bed system with more than 1,000 active providers and over 7,000 employees, making it the largest employer in Stark County. The health system is based in Canton and serves patients across Northeast Ohio.
The partnership aims to build a stronger pipeline from medical school into clinical practice, positioning Aultman as a key training site for NEOMED students entering Ohio’s healthcare workforce.
