In her role, Dr. Lohr will work with governors of ACC chapters from all U.S. states, the District of Columbia, Puerto Rico, Canada and Mexico, according to a March 6 news release. She will also work alongside representatives from U.S. health services.
Dr. Lohr currently serves on the ACC academic cardiology leadership council and the ACC Annual Scientific Session program committee. She previously acted as governor of the ACC Wisconsin chapter and the ACC Wisconsin leadership council.
She was appointed professor of medicine and division director of cardiovascular medicine at the Heersink School of Medicine at the University of Alabama at Birmingham in 2022. She is also the director of the Comprehensive Cardiovascular Center and the Mary G. Walters Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine at the university. Previously, she was a member of the Milwaukee-based Medical College of Wisconsin faculty as an associate professor in the division of cardiovascular medicine.
