She was selected by Boston’s Mayor Michelle Wu, according to a March 7 news release from Mass General Brigham.
In her role at Mass General Brigham, Dr. Taveras leads systemwide strategies to improve health equity and the health of local communities the health system serves. She is also a recipient of the Public Health Leadership in Medicine Award from the Massachusetts Association of Public Health.
