Dr. Kalinichenko comes to Phoenix Children’s from the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital Medical Center, according to a March 6 news release. While there, he led the Kalinichenko Research Lab in its study of treatments for pulmonary conditions.
Dr. Kalinichenko is the recipient of several research awards, including the American Heart Association’s Scientist Development Award and the American Cancer Society’s Research Scholar Award.
In his new role, Dr. Kalinichenko will work to recruit other scientists, secure grant funding and advance scientific inquiry. Six members of his team in Cincinnati will join him at Phoenix Children’s to continue their research, the release said.
