Atlanta-based Aveanna Healthcare Holdings has agreed to acquire Family First Holding the parent company of Family First Homecare, expanding its pediatric home care footprint.

Family First Homecare operates 27 locations across seven states — Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Pennsylvania, South Dakota, Texas and North Carolina — and primarily provides skilled private duty nursing services for pediatric patients, according to a March 12 press release.

The acquisition will broaden Aveanna’s specialized care model and geographic reach. Aveanna said it plans to fund the transaction through a combination of cash on hand and borrowing under its existing short-term credit facility.

Family First Homecare was founded in 2012 and received a strategic minority investment from Trivest Partners in 2021, the release said. The transaction is expected to close in the second fiscal quarter of 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
