Dr. Mehra, an associate professor of surgery and the section chief of head and neck surgery, was recognized for his surgical skills and leadership skills, according to a Jan. 11 news release from the Yale University School of Medicine. Dr. Prasad, a professor and director of the university’s head, neck and endocrine pathology program, was also celebrated for her leadership, along with her medical expertise.
Kevin Billingsley, MD, who presented the award, commended the physicians for “the strength of their partnership and teamwork … creat[ing] a foundation of excellence and elevat[ing] head and neck cancer care at Smilow Cancer Hospital to world-class care.”
