ChristianaCare taps physicians for 2 leadership roles

Wilmington, Del.-based ChristianaCare appointed two physician leaders to take over its emergency medicine and pediatric service lines. 

Lauren Cooksey, MD, was named the department chair and physician executive of emergency medicine, and Megan Mickley, MD, was named department chair and physician executive of the pediatric service line. Since 2024, Drs. Cooksey and Mickley have held these positions on an interim basis.

ChristianaCare operates three hospitals, a freestanding emergency department, and several urgent care centers, primary care and outpatient care facilities. It also provides home health care and runs a gene-editing institute.
