Dr. Nathan Fitton named chief medical information officer for MSU Health Care

Nathan Fitton, DO, has been named the chief medical information officer for East Lansing-based Michigan State University Health Care.

Dr. Fitton has been an associate chief medical information officer for MSU Health Care since 2019, according to a Dec. 6 news release from the health system. In his new position, Dr. Fitton will be responsible for overseeing the use of electronic medical records and expanding the digital patient experience at MSU Health Care.

Dr. Fitton also serves as the director of osteopathic medical education for the Sparrow/MSU Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship and an associate professor at the College of Osteopathic Medicine. He is also an MSU team physician.
