Dr. Becerra will work to grow the number of cancer clinical trials at the hospital, according to a Nov. 15 press release from Hoag. He previously worked as a clinical trials director at Baylor University Medical Center in Dallas.

He is currently working on more than 100 clinical trials in cancer alone, the release said.

“Hoag is in one of the most unique positions in the country in that it offers patients access to top-tier clinical trials and research,” Dr. Becerra said in the release. “The commitment to bringing together some of the brightest physician scientists to lead groundbreaking research is what attracted me to join this talented team.”

At the Becker’s 32nd Annual Meeting: The Business and Operations of ASCs, taking place October 29-31 in Chicago, ASC leaders, surgeons and healthcare executives will explore strategies to drive growth, enhance operational performance, navigate reimbursement challenges and prepare for the future of ambulatory surgery.
