Here are the five states with the highest number of physicians per capita:
- Washington, D.C.
- Massachusetts
- Rhode Island
- New York
- Connecticut
Here are the five states with the lowest number of physicians per capita, starting with the state with the fewest:
- Idaho
- Wyoming
- Montana
- Nevada
- Utah
