Dr. Adam Gordon named UAB endowed faculty scholar

The University of Alabama at Birmingham School of Optometry named Adam Gordon, OD, its CooperVision endowed faculty scholar in myopia control and contact lenses.

Dr. Gordon, a professor in the department, specializes in research surrounding corneas and contact lenses, according to an Oct. 11 news release. With the endowment, he will be able to collaborate with global partners to further research initiatives of his choice. 

“This is an incredible honor, and I am humbled to be the first CooperVision Endowed Scholar at the UAB School of Optometry,” Dr. Gordon said in the release. “I am grateful for the opportunity to hold this position and continue to work with talented faculty, students, residents and staff.”
