The collaboration includes two initiatives, including a scholarship program developed to up the number of diverse physicians in the state, according to a March 6 news release. Sutter has invested $7.5 million in 25 full-tuition scholarships across five cohorts.
The partnership also includes the creation of the Health Equity Alliance for Research & Evaluation, which will work to integrate health equity research into clinical practice across California.
