Ventra Health appoints emergency medicine adviser

Mark Laperouse, MD, has been appointed strategic adviser of emergency medicine for Ventra Health.

Dr. Laperouse joins Ventra with over 15 years of experience as an emergency medicine physician, according to a Jan. 19 news release. In addition to his role as adviser for Ventra, which provides revenue cycle management technology and other products for hospital-based physician specialties, he will continue to treat patients.

Dr. Laperouse currently serves as both medical director of emergency services at Our Lady of the Lake Hospital in Baton Rouge, La., and chief medical officer of emergency medical services at Professional Emergency Physician Associates of Baton Rouge.
