William Lee, 41, suffered from a stroke that caused extensive brain damage and led him to be confined to a residential brain injury center, according to a Dec. 4 news release from the law firm that represented him. A jury in Westchester County, N.Y., returned the verdict in the case.
According to the release, “inexperienced doctors who were on call were responsible for a 3-hour delay in removing” a blood clot from Mr. Lee’s artery. The hospital, meanwhile, argued the brain damage had occurred before he was admitted to the hospital.
