Through this law, Wisconsin became the third state to join an interstate credentialing agreement for physician assistants. The compact would allow PAs in the state to apply to practice in any of the states in the compact once at least four more states sign on.
Utah and Delaware already joined the physician assistant compact earlier in the year, with bills pending in Ohio, Michigan and New York, the report said. Meanwhile, Mr. Evers also signed bills with similar agreements for speech-language pathologists and professional counselors.
