UnityPoint names chief medical officer

Joshua Rehmann, DO, was named chief medical officer of West Des Moines, Iowa-based UnityPoint Health, Business Record reported Dec. 1.

 In his new role, Dr. Rehmann will provide clinical and administrative leadership for the physicians and advanced practice providers across all UnityPoint Health markets, according to the publication. 

 Dr. Rehmann, a family medicine and obstetrics and gynecology specialist, has held multiple healthcare leadership roles, including program director of the Iowa Lutheran Family Medicine Residency program, the report said. He most recently served as vice president and medical director of UnityPoint’s Central Iowa market.
