Here are the four actions included in the plan, according to a Nov. 3 news release from the administration:
- Build on the Affordable Care Act and Inflation Reduction Act in order to increase access to affordable health coverage and care across rural communities.
- Help rural hospitals stay open in the long run to provide critical services in their communities by funding small rural hospitals and Medicare-certified rural gealth clinics.
- Increase the rural health workforce, including for primary care and behavioral health providers.
- Support access to essential care across rural communities, including behavioral health and telehealth services.
