Dr. Boies joins Cone Health from the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, where he served as vice chair of education and assistant dean of education and innovation, according to a Sept. 18 news release.
As chief academic officer, Dr. Boies will oversee the healthcare network’s academic medical programs, which currently includes 60 residents participating in residency programs and research grants totaling over $26 million.
