Penn Medicine names inaugural director for LGBTQ+ health

Kevin Kline, MD, has been appointed the inaugural medical director for LGBTQ+ health at Penn Medicine.

Dr. Kline currently serves as an assistant professor of family medicine and community health at the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine, according to an Aug. 29 news release.

As director, Dr. Kline will work with other program for LGBTQ+ health leaders to coordinate the quality of care for the health system’s LGBTQ+ patients and provide lectures and presentations to medical students and professional organizations.

He will continue to serve as director of LGBTQ+ health in the department of family medicine and community health, in addition to serving as a member of Penn Medicine’s sexual orientation and gender identity working group and the preferred name steering committee.
