Dr. Meadows, who was double board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology and cosmetic surgery, was the medical director of Meadows Surgical Arts in Commerce, Ga. He also spent 10 years treating patients at the Women’s Wellness Center in Toccoa, Ga.
Dr. Meadows was piloting a plane from his own company, Georgia Company of Aspiring Flyers, when it crashed in Polk County close to the Tennessee and Georgia border during severe weather.
A statement was published to Meadows Surgical Arts’ Facebook page May 8 confirming his death.
“Dr. Meadows was a beloved friend, mentor, and inspiration to many of us,” the statement reads. “He was a brilliant surgeon and doctor who touched the lives of so many with his kindness and passion for delivering exceptional patient care. Dr. Meadows was known for praying with each of his patients before surgery, and we ask for your prayers now as we mourn his death.”
